Browser Configuration

This section provides step-by-step instructions for configuring your system to use ProjectNet.

NOTE: This guide assumes that you have working knowledge of your operating system and can perform such tasks as using the mouse, opening files, and launching applications. If you are not familiar with such functions, please consult the Help manuals for your system or ask your System Administrator for assistance.

How To Configure Internet Explorer

The following instructions are for users using Internet Explorer 6.x. If you are using an older version (5.x or 4.x), you can find the instructions here. To check for the version of your browser, open an instance of IE and click on the Help menu, then select About Internet Explorer. If you need assistance with configuration of your browser, feel free to contact Citadon Customer Care or your system administrator.

1. Launch Internet Explorer from your Desktop or from your Start menu.
2. Select Tools > Internet Options from the Internet Explorer menu.
   
3. Click the Settings button in the Temporary Internet Files section of the General tab.
   
4. Set the Check for newer version of stored pages option to Every visit to the page.
   
5. Click the OK button.
6. Click the Delete Files button in the Temporary Internet Files section of the General tab.
   
7. Make sure to check the box Delete all offline content. Click the OK button.
   
8. Click the Security tab.
9. Select the Trusted Sites zone.
10. Click the Sites button.
    
11. Make sure Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is unchecked.
12. In the field Add this Web site to the zone: type in projectnet.cephren.com and click the Add button.
13. projectnet.cephren.com should now be added to the list of Web sites.
14. Click the Advanced tab.
15. Scroll to the section HTTP 1.1 settings. Make sure Use HTTP 1.1 is checked.
    
16. Scroll to the section Java (Sun) (if available).
    
17. Make sure Use Java 2 v1.x.x is checked.
18. You may have Microsoft VM installed. If this is the case, then you may keep it enabled.
19. Put a check into the following check boxes under the Security heading:
• SSL 3.0
• SSL 2.0
20. If you are logging into ProjectNet with the Encryption box checked, then you need to also un-check the following under the Security heading:
• Do not save encrypted pages to disk

21. Click the OK button to save changes.
22. You are now properly set for ProjectNet using Internet Explorer.
23. If you are using Windows XP and have recently installed Service Pack 2, please perform the following additional steps.
