Ameren Joins the Roster of Energy-Related Organizations Reaping the Benefits of Citadon CW™
San Francisco - July 22, 2004 - Citadon, the leader in Web-based collaboration, document management and business process management solutions for project-oriented organizations, today announced a multi-year, enterprise-wide agreement with St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation. "We envision the Citadon CW™ platform as a bridge among and between all of our capital project participants. We also look forward to the addition of Citadon Velocity to help further integrate our existing project-related tools and applications," said Frederick Pope, General Manager of Generation & Technical Services at Ameren.
As part of an extensive value-based initiative, a team comprised of members of several Ameren Corporation divisions including AmerenUE, AmerenEnergy Generating and Electric Energy, Inc. was assembled to evaluate vendor-provided project management and process alternatives. The four-month selection process involved an in-depth comparison of package software vendors and Application Service Providers (ASP's) before identifying Citadon CW™ with the optional Velocity toolkit as offering the highest degree of fit to organizational needs.
"Citadon's ability to provide a true end-to-end solution was the primary decision driver in selecting the CW™ platform," said Richard Smith, Manager of Ameren AEG Generating. "Secondly, the customizable business process and workflow engine functionality of Citadon BPD far surpassed anything else in the market. And finally, the breadth of industry experience of the Citadon professional services team, coupled with the very broad Citadon installed base, gave us the confidence we needed to move forward with CW™."
